Did you know that television made its' debut April 30, 1939 at the World's Fair in New York City? Advertising was initially aimed at the wealthy, depicting viewers dressed in evening suits and gowns to watch TV. In keeping with the spirit of the 1939 miracle that was Television was the theme of the 2004 Carolina Silver Reel Awards. Party-goers were invited to don their party duds to watch television with us!
On Saturday night, May 22nd, the cream of the communications crop in North and South Carolina were honored in a ceremony at the Digital Circus at the School of Communication Arts. Attendees enjoyed a night of awards, fellowship, and fun to honor winners in the categories of Training, Documentary, Craft, Web site, Interactive Multimedia, Internal Communications, PSA, Commercial, External Communications, New Directions, and Sales and Marketing.
